Brought to mind Last Year at Marienbad

I though Youth was beautiful and occasionally it made me think of Last Years at Marienbad, did anyone else make this connection?

Other than being set at a grand hotel, no. It's definitely more Fellini than Resnais.

That is a masterpiece of understatement.

The great beauty was la dolce vita and this was 8 1/2, its so evident,a director in a spa who can't realize his film, i whish Sorrentino could do something different instead of trying without succes to imitate Fellini.
