I love Michael Caine and I haven't seen the movie but I'm curious about how good he did in the movie. What do the people who's seen the movie think of his performance? Good, bad, Oscar-worthy? Also is the movie good? I'm hearing mixed reviews.

shareIf you are an individual who has come to terms with and accepted your own mortality then it will probably strike a chord with you. If you are the kind of person who believes they will live forever (yes, many people have no concept of the fact that life is finite and short) then you will probably hate it.

shareHer angry monologue at Caine was great but the rest of the movie she was so-so. I felt at times she responds too quickly to others, like she already knows what theyre going to say. ie shes reading from a script. Her conversation with Keitel at the pool esp.
Caine and Keitel are so good, they make everyone else look pedestrian.
Fan of the film and Caine. He is Oscar-worthy I'd say. It's a sad performance that doesn't merely linger and being miserable.
