Paloma Faith

I love how she is playing 'herself'... who is also "the most insignificant woman on earth" as Mick calls her in the film!

reply

I like Paloma Faith, but this was a very weak part. Pity

reply

I never heard of her actually. I didn't mean I "Like" as in liking the scene. But the fact that she plays herself which is being "the most insignificant woman". Takes a lot of confidence for her to play the part I guess.

I'm only aware of Paloma Faith as someone in the celebrity pages of a free newspaper I pick up on the way to work (for the Suduko - honest). But I thought she was OK in the part as well - might even sample some of her music on you-tube.

reply

I'm guessing the point was to contrast her video persona with her presence as a real person in the film. This motif appears also with the masseuse dancing with the image on the Wii screen.

Calling attention to the visual and visceral distinctions between real reality and virtual reality.
