Jus came across an article on Deadline that he's taking on the lead role on a new show called No Tomorrow.
So far,it’s only a pilot.
There is no guarantee the show will go to series.
With all 11 scripted shows being renewed the earliest the show could come in would be Spring of 2017.

If season 3 gets a green light the original choice for Galavant Zachary Levi has put up his hand to take over this way Gary still has his happy ending
shareThey don't need to do a body swap for Galavant, just use Levi for his younger brother... Assuming Levi can sing better than Sasse it would be an improvement and also a way to get rid of Izzy... they were probably the weakest characters in the whole show.

We had John Stamos on both Grandfathered and a limited role on Fuller House (as well as a bit part on Galavant)... Rob Lowe did even more with The Grinder on Fox, while also on You, Me and the Apocalypse ... and also is doing voice work on Lion Guard & Moonbeam City (as well as currently filming a Movie).
How would being on that stop him from being on Galavant? Not that they can't just leave his character with the happy ending and bring in someone else from his family (a brother, cousin, etc.).
All that said, it's awesome he's got another show. Hopefully it's good.
