I have been a fan of Weird Al since his earliest days on Dr Demento and I enjoyed seeing him in this but the truth is I was a little let down I thought he could have done a better job if they let him write his own song for the show. Still it was fun seeing him again.
shareYup, I was really jazzed when I recognised his voice.
Love him, love him, love him.

He doesn’t write music though. Only parody lyrics.
They aren’t going to pay to use someone else’s music when they have a golden team of song writers.
Dude, it’s Beacon Hills.
He's had original music on some of his albums but I'm not sure who wrote the songs.

When do we want it?
It's irrelevant!
Weird Al is known for music parody, but he writes a lot of his own stuff. It just doesn't get recognized as much at all. Dare to be stupid from the Transformer movies was Devo influenced, but it was not one of their tracks. Jurassic park was another song that was pure original.
If you ever bought one of his album, you'll hear loads of original tracks.

Weird Al is freakin' brilliant.I've been a fan since his Dr, Demento days.

While Al has written many completely original songs, Jurassic Park is not one of them. It's a parody of the song "MacArthur Park" composed by Jimmy Webb.
Actually Jurassic Park is a parody of "MacArthur Park" made popular by Donna Summer's cover of the original.
