London could "fall" but it would have to be like Constantinople

The movie's premise was preposterous. It showed a massive "fifth column" of terrorists running amok in London just gunning down the other police and soldiers. It showed two members of the elite palace guard break formation and proceed to gun down the rest of the squad. Ugh.

Such a plot is reminiscent of the German infiltration that actually happened during the Battle of the Bulge. The incident caused confusion on the supply roads in Belgium, and Eisenhower was sequestered in Antwerp as a precaution, but the Americans did not just stand there and get shot in the face by the thousands. By daylight the ordeal was over, and the infiltrators were killed on the spot(few captured).

Today's London is full of Muslims, sure, but also Sikhs and Poles and Scandinavians and Americans etc. It's a multicultural city... and I get how the movie relies on the "other" factor as a means to explain the plot. But there is no way the establishment would just collapse like that in the space of an hour. Too many "others" in London actually support the system and believe in the rule of law.

It would take a huge army of conquest from the outside to accomplish a takeover. And with UK and NATO allied navies in the waters around the UK, this will not happen in the foreseeable future. Rule Britannia.

I couldn't believe when I read his filmography that he played a toilet (no joke) in According to Jim

So you don't believe one solitary hacker could take over the CCTV, power grid, multinational secure comms, computer systems, satellites, etc? What, because he's in a wheelchair??
