Anyone who lives in London will recognise the president obviously, so he could hide in any random London apartment and wait it over. Why keep running around?

I think the problem with that was that the terrorists had access to the CCTV system and were tracking them in real time, so there was really no where to hide.

Agreed. Also, if they had just chilled at the safehouse instead of calling in and giving away their location to the traitor, they would have been safe. I don't understand why they tried to get to the American embassy when they knew full well that would be super heavily defended and there was no way they would make it in there. They could have just driven the safe house bullet proof land rover any direction out of the city and gotten away from all the terrorists littering the city. Go to Birmingham or Bath or Liverpool, hell, go to Scotland, anywhere away from the throng of heavily armed terrorists.
shareWell, they were spotted the moment they left the safe house and were chased down by the, resulting in a car crash. So simply driving out of London wasn't really a plausible plan.
