You have to love mindless action flicks
This is "Die Hard" for the 21st century. If you're expecting a coherent plot and character development you're watching the wrong movie.

shareI wouldn't put this in the same class as Die Hard. At least Die Hard had some semblance of a story, and some pretty funny lines, and a cool villain.
The hero of DH was a "human", as evidenced by the feet full of glass...
The hero of this survived ridiculous assaults with nary a scratch. Unbelievable.
This was simply a non-stop shoot-em-up White House Down wannabe.
WHD at least had some side interaction with the little girl; and some mystery as to who the "real bad guy" was; and some "reasonable" dialog with the president... with the exception of when the Pres. asked him to shoot him, that was pretty much limited to "keep down" in this one...
After a while it was a crashing bore of cars, guns, bullets, with no doubt as to the outcome... Of course he was going to save the pres, and at the last minute, too...
My biggest complaint.... what a monumental waste of Morgan Freeman's talent.
Sure glad I didn't spend a bundle to see this in a theater....
But, that's just me. 🎃🎃🎃🎃
