one part i thought was stupid.

In the subway when he kills the terrorist while he's talking to his brother on the radio.He tells him his real name.why would you give them any information let alone your real name.Other than stroking his own ego it seemed completely unnecessary and stupid.

"Hey international terrorist with ties to terrorists all over the world.I just killed your brother.OH by the way my name is Mike Banning.That's with 2 n's.Gee i hope i didn't just put a massive bullseye target on myself and my loved ones."

I'm struggling to think of one part of this movie that wasn't stupid.

Beat me to it (by a month-plus). JFC, the ENTIRE London police force was infiltrated? And all the Beefeaters? And on and on and on and on?!?!

But they sure had fun shooting the *beep* out of (fake) London.

He was taunting them. The Terrorists were focused on London, not anywhere else. I don't think he endangered his family at all.

He didn't need to give his name to taunt them.In fact not knowing who their would be taunter was would have been far more taunting.It felt more like self congratulatory gloating to me.

I disagree.What if the terrorist had escaped or before he died spread the word in the group that it was Mike Banning that spoiled their evil plans.He essentially made himself and his loved ones a target for revenge when he gave his real name.There's a reason Batman hides his identity.Because if the Joker knew who he was he would carve Alfred up like a Thanksgiving turkey.

FADE IN

INT. TERRORIST'S HIDEOUT - NIGHT

Kamran wears a headset and talks into a radio. None of the other terrorists with Kamran hear the conversation.

Kamran: Who is this?

Banning: This is Amanda Hugginkiss and I just killed your brother.

Kamran removes the headset and slams it on the table.

Kamran: (screams) If it's the last thing I do, I am going to get me Amanda Hugginkiss.

This draws stares from his fellow terrorists. He grabs the closest terrorist by the collar.

Kamran: I need you to find me Amanda Hugginkiss.

The terrorist nervously looks around then plants a big, sloppy kiss on Kamran's lips.

EXT. BANKS OF THE THAMES RIVER - NIGHT

Kamran and the kissing terrorist are locked in a cage suspended over the river by a crane. The cage slowly lowers into the water.

The only one i remember from the Simpsons is Ivana Huggadrunk but yours is funnier.This would have made the movie slightly more enjoyable.

It's an action movie trope. It gives a sense that, this guy's balls are so big he will tell them his real name, that's how confident he is. I personally liked it and thought it oozed brawn.

Take it from the most charismatic, smoothest, cunning, and most famous action hero of all time (with longest running series ever). He does it every film, and he's supposed to be a secret spy!

The name is Bond...James Bond.

Mike Banning is a public figure as head of the President's security. Even if he never said his name, it wouldn't have been beyond the terrorists to use voice analysis and figure out who they are speaking to. Though, I like to think Banning is super cocksure that he would eliminate the enemy.
