And why are those 1-star reviews unjustified in comparison to your 1-star reviews such as, for example, the one you gave "Arlington Road"?
And if you're allowed to take offense, why would the Brits--which you blatantly insult by calling them douche bags and insecure limeys--or the Muslims not be allowed to express their offense and outrage towards such a pathetic film? Is it more of that American Exceptionalism crap making you think intolerance has license to flow in only one direction? What, your propaganda is called "righteousness" while everyone else's is nothing but insults and lies?
There are quite a few foreign movies that make Americans look like empty, inept and greedy fools, but, hey, the action is pretty good and they're fun shoot-em-up movies... You telling me you also enjoy those and defend them on discussion boards?
Are you even aware that extremists/terrorists represent well below 1% of all Muslims? Know where the biggest concentration of Muslims is? Give you a hint, it's in Asia, and has nothing to do with Arabs.
You know what gave rise to extremism? It could easily be argued that certain Occidental powers are far worse terrorist states.
So, if a segment is voicing genuine dissatisfaction towards this film by giving it a 1, it could be that too many are seeing past all that BS racism and fear mongering which only fuels hate and make matters worse while the rich and certain institutions profit greatly from such a polarized view that's so far removed from reality. And some of us aren't happy being complacent couch-potatoes who just swallow this crap up just because the kabooms were big, the fights well choreographed, and the actors sexy...
Wake up.
(BTW, I gave this film 3/10. I don't believe in this "1 or 10 to balance out" philosophy; I think it's moronic.)
