Needs Snipes and Van Damme. John Woo Shoud direct.
Needs Snipes and Van Damme back.
Van Damme could play his Jean Villain's "Twin Brother" as a new villain.
And John Woo Should direct.

Whatever did happen to John Woo anyway? I know that movie he did with Affleck was a flop but they can't all be hits.
shareHe did some stuff, but most notably Red Cliff, which is a true masterpiece of a film. Brings the Romance of the Three Kingdoms to life like never before, and in such a grand way.
From the cinematography to the musical score, it's essentially a perfect film (part 1, anyway). I felt Part 2 dragged a little bit near the end, even though that was when the massive battle takes place. It's such an intricate film that manages to handle tons of characters in interesting ways, and Part 1's battle sequences are timeless wonders.
A large part of the film is about how to utilise fewer soldiers to tactically entrap an enemy with greater forces. As you see the whole thing unfold it's just a master class in filmmaking and storytelling. Definitely check out the two-part film, which is about four or five hours. Might seem long but it's well worth it. The truncated Western version just butchers everything to get it all down to a manageable runtime, but it loses all of its flavour, much like the truncated version of Sediq Bale: Warriors of the Rainbow.
