I can't say it's the best pitch I've ever heard for a story but I did enjoy Nathan Parkers 'Moon' so I'll reserve full judgement until I see it....

Equals is not a remake of 1984. In the interview Kristen Stewart gave to the AP she said that it's just like a slightly updated version of it, meaning that it has some of the same themes 1984 deals with. She only made a comparasion, neither her nor anyone involved said that it's based on the book or that is a remake of 1984. It has nothing to do with George Orwell's work. Equals is a futuristic sci-fi love story.
