How many times do we have to see these flaws?
1) The film keeps hinting SOS is, really, an allegory for HIV and homosexuality, alternately. It keeps pushing you with a "See what I mean? Do you feel guilty? Am I making you feel guilty? Do you see how clever I am? I talk about one thing but I really mean another!" attitude.
2) We understand that humans are either emotionless or 'bugged', i.e. able to feel. What I cannot understand is why, in the movie, being able to feel is equivalent to being hysterical and devoid of reason. It's "Romeo&Juliet", you moron! You haven't seen your babe in two hours and you're going to kill yourself? Please!
3) Backlit close-ups with whispered dialogue. Get over it, this hasn't been a thing since 50 years ago.
4) Three sets: office, apartment, den. Oh, yes, the hideout. Ran out of budget after a couple grand?
5) Kristen 'face of a corpse' Stewart.
