There are similarities. Honestly, Delirium sounds like Equilibrium and Equilibrium isn't unlike Brave New World or 1984. Tons of futuristic negative Utopias are similar.

shareI think its more the line of the giver- all emotions are eradicated (not just love banned- I haven't read delirium though so I could be wrong)... I highly doubt Delirium was the inspiration- there are many classic dystopian novels where love is prohibited
