It's like ever role she's ever played has been building toward this

XD

reply

Lol. She'll give it her 100%.

reply

lol. she did all her scenes in one take.

reply

I was thinking the EXACT same thing when I saw this starred Kristen Stewart: perfect role for an "actor" who can't convey emotion even when she's trying!

reply

Might see this for Nicholas Hoult. But I'll enjoy laughing at Kristen's performance. So perfect for someone w no talent.

reply

It's the role of a lifetime for her. For someone who was the top paid actress during the height of Twilight, she looks miserable as *beep* in every picture. Her acting is tolerable at best. I don't even think her scandal plummeted her career as much as her demeanor does. I can't think of one role I've ever liked her in.

Laseia

Kristen's career has skyrocketed not plummeted. Not sure where you have been these past few years.

Might be a good idea to read about her French Cesar award she received for CoSM, last Feb. The Cesar is even more prestigious than the US Oscar. These past couple of weeks she was also supporting actress by critics choice in NY,BO, & SD. these are great honors.

Reading all these replies. I knew it was only a matter of time before one of Stewart's die hard fans would come running in a defend Stewart's acting.

You must live in Europe. And there's nothing wrong with that. I lived there for six years. But nobody from America would call the Oscar, "the US Oscar."

If there Cesar is more prestigious then the Oscar. Then why do actors from around the world consider the Oscar the greatest award an actor or director can be awarded?

reply

As for someone in the UK, no one here calls the Oscar a "US Oscar" also.

The Oscar is also considered the greatest award an actor or director can be given here.

reply

The "Oscars" have been presumed to be an award that can bought in a way and the Cesar isn't.
The French are considered to be more critical, demanding almost an artist's perfection. There isn't the same push, the studio promotion to get the academy voters to watch their film.
It is also unheard of that an American could win a Cesar. The only other American to ever win, was Adrian Brody, several years ago. I don't recall the film.
As for Kristen, I have been familiar with her work since around 2003 or so. Before her Twilight experience. I think people have decided to be unfairly critical, but I can do nothing about that.

My brother once told me, when we were walking in the woods, if you are looking for snakes, that is what you may find...missing the other interesting things the woods has to offer.

reply

HAHAHAHA I was immediately thinking the exact same thing and came here to see if someone thought the same xD A role of a lifetime for her indeed hahahaha xD

reply

Hahahahahaha, I just finished watching this and that was my exact sentiment!!! Zero emotions? I think Kristen Stewart might be bearable in this film!

reply

This would be funny if it actually made any sense, considering she's supposed to be one of the few WITH emotions in an emotionless world. Do better. You might actually be funny one day.

It's a joke - don't get butthurt - I think if you read through the comments you'll see funny status has been achieved

reply

Not butt hurt. Not at all. The only thing achieved here is a demonstration that folks here have no idea what they're talking about and it makes the "joke" just stupid and pitiful.

reply

You win - she's a great actress - we just don't get it

reply

No. A bad actress works with Woody Allen and Ang Lee. A bad actress becomes the first to win a Cesar Award. A bad actress wins an NYFCC Award for her performance. Critics and the French Academy are wrong. You're right.
