Snow White the Huntsman:Winter War meets Aeon Flux meets Gattaca

Clearly influenced by Kristen working with Charlize Theron in SWTH. Charlize was in Aeon Flux, Nicholas was in X-Men. Writer could have imagined how it would be like if Kristen was a character who was forbidden to love in SWTH:Winter's War. The space exploration part seems to be influenced by Gattaca.

Aeon flux - forbidden to conceive in a futuristic world
Gattaca - forbidden to be 'genetically inperfect'
Nicholas in X-Men: creation of a cure for genetic inperfection in The Last Stand

The writer obviously thought of the themes in some of these movies that the related actors took part in.

These are the closest influences that are more relevant compared to the other listed movies mentioned by others.

For me the storyline was similar to other sci-fi films in its sub-genre such as 1984, Equilibrium and THX-1138, yet while watching this film it definitely had the feel of Gattaca for the reasons you mentioned along with the atmospheric qualities of both films being quite similar.
