40 Year Old Skin...
...does not feel the same as 26yo skin. Anyone that has skin-to-skin contact with the girl pretending to be "younger" would know straight away that she is much older than she is letting on.

shareBehold misogyny. There is no one way a woman's skin is supposed to feel.
Behold feminazism. The point was not about how a women's skin is "supposed" to feel, but simply a comment on the fact that skin, male or female, feels different at age 40 than it does at age 26. Now run along, you're late for an Anti-Trump march somewhere.
shareA woman answered, you have no comeback. You don't even know what feminism is, let alone how to correctly use the ridiculous term 'feminazi' that was dreamt up by scared little boys who can't handle a world where women are more than sex toys or servants.
shareI was only saying that skin shows age, and that it would be easy to tell that your supposed 26yo booty call is actually much older simply by her skin. Same goes for men, just a fact of nature. Not sure how that makes me a misogynist, but okay. If you want to turn this into the next great cause for SJWs, be my guest.
shareNo, you were saying 'behold feminazism'. Whenever a woman says something that a man disagrees with but doesn't have the wherewithal to actually respond to, that is the tired old term they decide will do the job for them. The only thing using it accomplishes, is showing the user to be a scared little boy who has nothing to contribute to an actual discussion.
shareNo, I was using an over the top descriptor just like QueenWhoever did in their reply to me. It was for sarcastic emphasis. My comment was not misogynistic in any way, shape, or form. You should let other posters fight their own battles. Now you just look silly. Firstly for defending a complete stranger, and secondly for just not getting the joke. You must be fun at parties...hahahahaha!
shareI am going to have to agree with the OP here. I didn't think the original comment was misogynistic at all and I did understand their point in going over the top with their reply. I do like this show, but there is no chance in hell the lead character would pass for her mid 20s. None. It doesn't ruin my enjoyment of the show.

If anything you're the one who is a misandrist if you go around calling men misogynists for such petty reasons. Shame on you.
I'm not defending the OP's point. I just think you must hate men if you go around pointing out everything they say about women can be reduced to misogyny.
It's not so much the feel of her skin, but her look. I think the actress is gorgeous and is in as good shape as you can be at 40 (she is a professional dancer), but, when she was in her bathing suit, exposing so much, you could see that that was not a 26-year-old body. That's when Charles should have been going hmm.

Thank you anonymous internet person for actually understanding what I meant by my post. It wasn't sexist or misogynist as some have claimed. It was simply a statement that the show is reaching by trying to say that a guy could be fooled into thinking a 40 year old woman was 26, and that's just simply nature. Agreed she is attractive and in fine shape for a woman her age. But she in no way looks 26.
shareExcuse me, that's MISTER anonymous internet person.

One time that stands out to me, when she did look closer to 26 than 40, was when she wore a white dress at the Millennial book party at the book fair in the Hamptons. She looked 30 to me.
shareI have only been told I look 26 at age 37, but I've certainly seen 40 year old women who could pull it off.
I'll grant you, not this actress. She doesn't look exactly old, but her face is the sort who looks mature even when she was young. I think a shorter actress would have been able to pull it off.
But people don't age in a vacuum. 26 might be pushing it, but there are lots of 40-somethings who look incredibly youthful, especially their skin. And conversely, skin starts aging by mid-twenties - I have seen lots of mid to late 20-somethings with signs of aging on their skin.
So basically, a youthful 40-something might be able to pull off looking like a mature looking mid to late 20 something.
I originally thought this show was stretching it have characters think believe Liza is 26. Still do to a certain extent. But people do age different. And maybe other characters just think she's an old looking 26.
What really changed my mind about this is a few months ago I happened to catch a movie on TV. It's called Miss You Already with Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette. Drew and Toni play best friends that have been friends since being in the same grade school class. I thought whoever did the casting was horrible because how are we supposed to believe they are the same age. Surely Toni is about 15 years older than Drew. I looked it up. Nope. They are only about 2 years apart in age. But Toni looks soooo much older. I looked up other pictures of her to see if she was just supposed to look that way in the movie. Nope. In fact, I'm not sure Toni ever looked young.
BTW, not a great movie.
