Would time travel ruin the series

What if Chucky time traveled back to November 9, 1988 via voodoo to prevent his death as a human? Would that work? They did that in Gingerdead Man 3 where he traveled back to 1976 to ruin the life of a Carrie wannabe. I think Gingerdead Man 3 was one of the first supernatural horror films to use time travel unless you count Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness.

Yes it would ruin it.

If he never became a doll there would be no character...well he'd just be another typical killer.

Time Travel doesn't even fit with voodoo. Its more of a futuristic thing.

Definitely leave time travel out of this series for sure.

I think they should make a Leprechaun film were he travels back in time to like the 1700s Ireland.
