Likable characters

As for me there was not one single likable character in the movie. After that nothing else mattered who lived or died or got injured. Apart from maybe the sea creature which did nothing to anyone other than take a nap.

Best thing in the movie was the cinematography which i gave an 8/10 but the script/story is a 0/10.

The movie is self-absorbed, pretentious and really goes nowhere, it's like everyone is selfish and after their own interest.

Overall i gave it a 4/10 because of the cinematography and the score.

Strange. I felt for most of the characters. The queen with her obsession and fear of losing her son, her loving husband that sacrifices himself to make her happy, the two twins and their bond that is stronger than any obstacle... The daughter of the king married away to the evil Ogre, the evil Ogre and his need of tenderness from his wife, the poor circus people, killed because they tried to help... And yeah also for the sea creature... I guess different people are touched by different films...

Fairy tales are weird and gruesome and BRUTAL so I thought this film perfectly captured fairy tales and it was wonderful to see on screen. I actually did feel for a lot of the characters, like the poster before me...the two twins wanting to be together, the other sister who had herself flayed, Violet, the poor gypsy/travellers/circus people...the King who sacrificed himself, Toby Jones and his weird flea...

Well done.

That sums up pretty much how I felt about this movie ~
