No, definitely not suitable for a 10 year old. Aside from dark and violent story lines, there is also quite a bit of sex and nudity. I am actually watching it right now and for on here to find out more about it. As I watch, there is a sex scene and I'm happy my son is spending the night at his grand parents!

It has fairly graphic nudity, and two relatively brief but relatively graphic sex scenes...as well as fairly bloody violence and very, very grim storylines with disturbing images - such as a woman who is flayed alive.
There's also one scene of implied rape/forced sex.

It's rated 15, I think.

Perhaps. These are dark stories, these faerie tales haven't been disneyfied. I doubt kids will like it, though, perhaps some get nightmares but most should not really understand the movie. But if you have a 10 year old who haven't seen nudity then it is about time, take the kid to a beach. There isn't really erotic nudity in this movie (unless you are one of those who believe all nudity is porn).
