Sisters question

Why are the sisters so freaked out when the king comes to them? All they had to do was reveal their age/looks and the king would leave them alone. Even after the king gave them the jewelry they tried to put him off so it's not like they were trying to milk further money from him. Also, why doesn't the Salma Hayek queen age? Guesstimating ages now: the queen is in her 30s when she eats the heart and later the prince says in one year he'll take over so she should be in her 40s/50s when the wizard comes the second time and yet she doesn't have a single wrinkle/ grey hair. I'm not saying she had to look like the sisters but without implied magic her eternal youth was irritating.

More freaky is 25 year old actress as Dora & 50 year old Vincent Cassell. Urghhhh. Always freaky if the age gap is sufficient for 1 to be the parent of the other

Fairy tales are funny things. Have you ever tried reading any of the Grimms Brothers tales? Everyone in those stories seems to do the exact opposite of what any rational, logical human being would do lol. Perhaps this movie borrowed that story line from an actual old fairy tale; back then, to an old peasant woman, I'm sure that it would have seemed like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have the king lusting after you for some inexplicable reason. Maybe they thought it was more logical to string him along until the last moment!

It was Dora's fault. Imma was going to simply tell him ("there's been a misunderstanding.") But Dora stopped her because she wanted to see if there was anything she could get out of the situation. Basically Dora was a bit of an idiot and played it all by ear, but in the process killed her sister.
