I'm hoping that some folk will have read the books these are based and be able to help me out - did Imma die? Did she turn young? What actually happened to her?
With the blonde princes, what happened with Jonah returning, confused, and then being out in the pit with the creature and Elias and returning again later after being injured? Was that someone's imagination or a dream or what?

The bat creature, after being killed by the blonde kid, metamorphosed into Salma Hayek (the queen). It was not immediately obvious but I went back on the DVD and then spotted her unmissable eyebrows. So this was the pact that she made with the soothsayer, in order to save her son, she would have to sacrifice herself.

The bit that puzzled me is that we saw one of the boys returning (assumed to be Jonah) where he was very confused and didn't know how long he'd been gone. Then we saw the Queen make the pact and the two boys fighting the monster out in the woods again.
Was it Elias pretending to be Jonah to calm the servants' fears before heading back out to find him for realisies?

I was a bit confused by all that too. There are so many layers to this film to explore.

I think, yes Imma died. Her sister , I feel did not want to admit to the odd breast feeding by the witch. Instead she claimed to be, "Flayed" I took this to mean Dora led her sister to believe she had her skin cut off. So with all of her jewels she begged a "MONSTER" of a human to remove all of her wrinkles with a knife. The voice of the actress, Shirley Henderson", also "Moaning Myrtle" of Harry Potter, left me horror struck as she begged her sister to let her stay and those painful yelps as that MONSTER of a human sliced her skin. I was more bothered by this then any of the stories. No, she didn't live, she did however manage to limp her bleeding and dying body back to the castle where I am sure she died.
