...once again in a movie, a major terrorist plot is motivated by money and personal revenge. In the movies it's almost never motivated by ideology or religion, like nearly all terrorist attacks.
Yeah, I was wondering why they would linger at Talbot's apartment after discussing the fact that she had probably been tracked.

And in the movies, the terrorists are always Russians... or the Cold War equivalents.
sharenylentone, perhaps you haven't seen that many movies. Try White House Down(2013), Long Kiss Goodnight(1996) and Siege(1998), Die Hard 1,2,3,4. Prob a buuuunch more out there. And speaking of stereotypes - there's a reason they exist.

The guy who had a good life but tried something in NY with his SVU wasn't like brainwashed either. He was clearly bored and wanted "to do something".
In numerous cases, its the press and the government who wants them to be this totally out of their mind brainwashed "James Bond-Villain sidekick" people. Yes, those exists, too and they are maniacs, and they do evil things.
But the majority of the self proclaimed losers who even travel one way to some insane places mostly try to come back because they don't like it there. If you don't like it there the brainwashing did much work, I suppose.
