I know its kinda implied that Paul goes to a hooker (does he ?)
wouldn't that give a you long start line? if you pass it to a hooker, especially a successful one, she would probably infect several people ,before "it " even shows up to her (it might not even show up to her because she's already passed it on)..and if if its a guy who frequents hookers, he may pass it on to more hookers, who pass it to more johns, making a large web of people who would have to be knocked off before it gets back to you

Passing it to a hooker means she is likely to give it to someone who wouldn't pass it on from there. He is killed and then the only hope is that she passes it again before IT kills her as well. Nah, the best scenario to ensure sharing it with many would be flying to Los Angeles and paying to make it with a porno star. IT has to follow a long long way and by then it has gone through many many people and since "stars" often travel the curse may even go to other states as well.

Can condoms prevent it from passing on though?

Also, who has unsafe sex with a hooker?

The only way to ever feel safe would be if you fucked someone, then forced that person to fuck someone else, then forced that other person to fuck someone else, etc. etc. etc. until a long enough chain has been created that you can assume it'll take a long time for it to get back to you. Preferably this chain would be spread across several different continents.

Even then you should keep track of who is currently being followed so that you don't get a nasty surprise when you're like 80 years old.

All these stragegies are good ideas, but they only delay the inevitable. Basically you're living the rest of your life looking over your shoulder. Maybe the best thing to do is commit the least painful suicide. We saw what happened to the girl on the beach at the beginning of the movie. The supernatural force does not believe in mercy.
