some of my friends now where fake eyebrows to class and on the three hour bus ride back to our parents o tuesday whe look out the windows with our eyebrows and freak out the people in other cars esp motorcycles.

๎ To me, the eyebrows are just a milder version of the half-hair/beard from the latter half of LMOE s.2 -- it IS pretty much a gag at first (for maybe the first couple eps or so), but as episodes become more dramatic or suspenseful, the silly visual simply becomes another part of the background (while reminding the viewer, "hey, we're still a comedy, we're not gonna let things get completely heavy...").
