Jamal Cliffhanger

I think you missed an episode from season 2 specifically the last episode. Jamal was shot and in hospital in the second last episode of season 2. In the season 2 finale which picked up weeks after Jamal was shot he was in a wheelchair and returning home and dealing with the physical effects of being shot.

Now in season 3 Jamal is dealing with the emotional effect and the trauma he suffered. The direct aftermath was shown in the last episode of season 2 so if you didn't see that then you definitely missed an episode. If the last episode you saw was the cliffhanger with Jamal being shot and the doctors coming to tell cookie and luscious how he is then you missed the last episode of season 2.

Season 2:
Episode 17- rise by sin - Jamal was shot and in hospital
Episode 18- past is prologue - deals with cliffhanger. Picks up weeks later Jamal is just out of hospital and back home in a wheelchair.

I hope that information helps you. Maybe you can find the episode you missed on iTunes or somewhere so you can get caught up and know what's going on. As I imagine the season 3 premier must have been very confusing for you especially Rhonda's death and luscious brother LOL. I think the extended episode order confused some people last season. There were 18 episodes in total. It's understandable if you missed one ;)
