Jamal and Hakeem go all incest-y...

... should it happen??

I'm not sure which scene you are referring to.

That to me one of the best scenes of the episode was the one of Jamal hugging Andre because it really shows BROTHERLY love. There was nothing to it that came across as incest-y because the culture I am from just doesn't look at it that way.

It was a truly emotional scene and I was very touched.

Good job to the Empire writers. This season is really solid.

the "culture" where i'm from would never see that scene that way either

wtf is the o.p. talking about?? 

No "culture" would have seen it that way.

I don't get this post at all....

Actors are useless without the power of a good writer's imagination

I don't get it either...so odd and random. Some of the threads on the Empire board from some users seem to come across to me as stupid nonsense, not actual discussion.

I think the OP's comments are just a said comment on how everything has now become sexualized. It's like no one can understand two people being friends without trying to turn it into sex and now they're doing it with siblings.

Two brothers can't act like brothers who love each other without someone trying to make it something dirty and nasty and saying it was incest.

Two men can't be friends without it being labelled as a bromance.

Used to be people couldn't believe a man and woman could just be friends without it becoming about sex, and now it's everyone, even siblings. It's like people can't understand the concept of friendships and family.

I saw it as two brothers going through things and simply trying to comfort each other. Nothing "incest-y" or sexual about it--unless you're a perv, of course.

I was just asking should they. Not that they were about to....

Why would you bring up something at all that is so utterly disgusting and unrelated to the show and these characters? Normal brotherly affection is shown amongst the Lyon siblings, and that's the way it will of course stay. This is "Empire", a show revolving around a glamorous, hard-working family, not a show centering around a collection of inbred mountain-dwelling, moonshine-swilling hillbillies.
