I never liked Rhonda

Where could the Rhonda character have gone?

Rhonda has known Andre for a very long time and loved him. She has put up with Lucious, been there for Andre and helped him with his medical condition so well. That very much made a very solid foundation for Rhonda and Andre as a solid couple and coupled with the fact that they lost their child, gives them a something tough they both have to cope with.

These are the areas where I would have taken her character;

-Establish who pushed her down the stairs and caused her to lose her baby and TAKE THAT PERSON DOWN. That would have been interesting.

-Serve as a backbone to Andre to support him with his illness and help him take over Empire and run it. That would have been another interesting arc.

-Get a glimpse into Rhonda's background to explore how her "white" family dealt with her marrying a black man. That would have been interesting. We have been shown how Lucious felt about his son marrying a white woman and I think it would have been interesting to see how Rhonda's family dealt with her marrying a black man as well.

On the other hand, I just don't care for the Anika character anymore ever since she got pregnant by Hakeem and reduced to being at Lucious's beck and call. Now she is getting very bad treatment in Lucious's mansion with no respect from anyone. I just feel sorry for her whenever her character appears on-screen. I hope the writers have a plan as to how she will come out of this. She also pushed Rhonda down the stairs and that just makes her character irredeemable to me.
