According to IMDb, it shows that next week is a new episode. However, the last presidential debate is next week. Also, after last week's episode, they said Empire won't be returning until after the World Series. Did anyone else see that during the upcoming episode's promo?
I don't want to miss a late night airing, if that's what FOX is going to do.

Next week is not a new episode. Just some advice don't trust information on imdb as its basically the Wikipedia of entertainment. Can be edited by anyone.

why such a long break already? i know, i was like Whaahh?? when i heard they said---after the World Series---that could be a couple few weeks away

It's like that every year during the Playoffs/World Series. FOX is the host station for the MLB. The show would actually be on next week if it wasn't for the Presidential Debate- The World Series starts the following week.
