He's starting to bore me now, Lucious having such an over emotional son is so jarring to watch.

You are entitled to your opinion I guess, but it's quite the contrary with me and a lot of other female viewers I know. Andre is now more exciting than ever before.

S1 of Empire had Andre at his most emotionally unstable state if you ask me and he was pretty much the bipolar son who was always feeling left out. Marrying a "white woman" also seemed to have alienated him more from his father especially. So for me, it was "poor Andre" in S1.

In S2, his character didn't move at all. His bipolar was still much in the forefront and we are talking about a highly educated, business savvy guy here. His character was pretty much wasted in S2.

Now in S3, it's more like booooom!!! Andre is at the forefront now just the way I like to see him. Yes he lost his wife and baby and has bipolar but I am glad the writers didn't have him mourning incessantly, whining and being haunted by his tragedy. Instead, he has stepped up to being tough, sexy, sexy, sexy, and in charge. Heck! I love the new Andre. He is more exciting to me now than he has ever been. I like to see him kick @ss, show his business acumen, rock a new girlfriend (Nessa) and roll on like a tough guy.

I am here for Andre this season. Never been this excited about this character before.

Great job Empire writers!!! 

^YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Andre is lit this season. He is tougher and sexier than he has ever been. I would have to say he maybe the most dangerous lyon, he def. the sexiest.

reply

Oops*** I meant to say " I like to see him kick @as"....Lol!!!

I know its like his purpose is to be there and be crazy. He's obviously not doing as great as people have said this season, this but had a threesome with an invisible dead woman. He needs help.

One word to sum up Andre
Crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The dude had a threesome with his dead wife who he still hasn't properly grieved or had a funeral for apparently. plus he's basically turning into luscious we don't need another luscious. i already can't stand the one luscious we do have. If andre continues down this path i'm gonna stop calling him andre and just call him Luscious Number 2. He needs help ASAP.

He is irritating, but at this point I see nothing redeeming in any of the brothers, except maybe Hakeem, yes he is arrogant and immature, but he is still a kid. Jamal should have just let Freda serve the time for the crime she committed, he can be annoying at times.

Andre didn't support Rhonda in the end when she said Anika pushed her, he pushed her away mostly. The thing that gets me the most angry is that lucious said he knew she pushed her and he saw that she fell to her death. Why is he not doing anything, yes she is his granchilds mother, but she murdered his first grandchild and his sons wife basically I hate that nothing is happening to her.

As far as I am concerned, he was going at it only with one woman. I didn't see him kiss the ghost or make out with the ghost, did you? He was hooking up with Nessa. The ghost was a figment of his imagination which Nessa or anyone else could not see.

So yeah, he needs to modify his meds to get rid of the ghost that only he can see. That I agree on.

If andre continues down this path i'm gonna stop calling him andre and just call him Luscious Number 2.

A LYON IS A LYON. Andre is Lucious Lyon's son, so he has a part of Lucious in him. This poor guy had to cover for his father's sins when he was only a child so he must have learned a lot from his father growing up. I would think he is more street-smart than his younger brothers.

I see nothing redeeming in any of the brothers, except maybe Hakeem, yes he is arrogant and immature, but he is still a kid.

Hakeem??? He is my least favorite Lyon son by far. Spoiled rotten, immature, disrespectful and bratty. Cookie didn't give him enough whooping with the broom as far as I am concerned. I still can't stand the fact that Anika would fall for this brat. Terrible.

Jamal should have just let Freda serve the time for the crime she committed....

I disagree. In-fact I admire Jamal for having helped free Freda. If anyone hasn't grown up under the disadvantaged circumstances that Freda grew up in, they will never understand. The fact that Jamal recognized what other kids in her neighborhood were going through and how they were hoping Freda would break that cycle was very impressive and heartfelt. He understood why she did what she did and she was not to blame and being in jail was not the right way to help her.
Cudos to Jamal. That was very, very, touching and Jamal showed that he has compassion and a heart, unlike Lucious.

Andre didn't support Rhonda in the end when she said Anika pushed her, he pushed her away mostly.

Andre regrets that bitterly and even in the first episode this season, we saw him breakdown about the fact that he let her down. I think that's the major reason why he might be haunted by her ghost, but who knows??

The season only just started and whether or not Rhonda will have a funeral, or if there will be any repercussions for Anika, remains to seen

I truly never got andre and rhonda marriage. They had a very dysfunctional marriage, I mean the man was pimping her out and he cheated on her nonstop. To me I never felt a deep connection with between them, hell he has shown more passion and connection with nessa in one episode than I ever seen with rhonda but that just me.

I think andre has come long way. I use never think anything about him as a character and now he is def. one of my fav. Yes, he has issues as well as the entire family but I think he will eventually get the help he needs and be ok.

Yes I know they are all Lyons and all have some part of luscious in them. It's not just Andre and his street smarts. Jamal showed that he can be cunning in the last episode and find ways to break the law to get what he wants. Hakeem in general I think his ambition is his main connection to luscious plus his arrogance and hot head.

The difference for me with Andre is that they are essentially trying to turn him into luscious. At least that's the impression I have gotten as much as I like Andre I want to see him remain an individual and unique character not basically become a luscious clone. He needs a character trait that is completely opposite of luscious and Andre doesn't seem to have one.

With Jamal his kindness and compassion and genuine goodness of heart offsets and balances his more Lyon and luscious traits which makes it fascinating to watch his struggle as luscious attempts to bring out that darker side in him as evidenced last episode. He has that big difference in character that sets him apart and makes things difficult for luscious to control him.

Hakeem though being my least favourite brother he does have a certain rebellious side to what his father wants for him. He doesn't just sit back and do what luscious wants. Though he is annoying and arrogant he will often take a stand against his father. He doesn't want to be like luscious and that much like Jamal sets him apart from luscious.

With Andre this season and even as far back as season 1 he seems to just accept his fathers control over him. He is too much like luscious in that he is willing to resort to violent acts including murder in order to get what he wants. He is even willing to hurt his own family in his quest for power as evidenced by his schemes against jamal and Hakeem in season 1 where he tried to turn them against each other and nearly resulted in jamal getting shot which could have ended in his death. He's just starting to seem to much like luscious for my liking. A little too much like luscious which would be fine if there was another aspect of his character to balance it out like Jamal's compassion and heart, or Hakeems headstrong will against his father. There isn't any that I can see that's what bothers me about Andre. His mental illness only serves to heighten his luscious traits. He seems to me to be becoming luscious and I don't like that unless it ends with Andre killing luscious in which case I'd be fine with it LOL.

I don't know if I explained it well but it just seems to me that this season Andre is loosing his sense of identify and individuality. He's just following his father around and doing whatever he can to help luscious. Fully under his fathers control; not resisting luscious and is accepting that violent Lyon part of him is not good. Though I guess it does make for good entertainment I don't want to see Luscious junior on my tv. He needs to have a character trait that sets him apart from his father otherwise he just gets lost amongst the other characters.

That's just the point. You hit the nail on the head as to why a lot of people, at least the ones I know didn't seem to have liked Rhonda that much (until when she got pushed down the stairs and lost her baby).

Rhonda was highly influential in making Andre go up against his brothers. She gave him ideas, told him what to do, how to set up his brothers against each other e.t.c. That's how it came across and it was a main reason why I really didn't find that union real or likeable. In no way, shape or form did I ever see Rhonda do anything to try to bring the brothers together.

It will be interesting to see where this Andre/Nessa relationship goes. She will be a great hire for Empire as a singer. She also has other options out there and doesn't really need to sign on with Empire. She also has her violent brother Shine to deal with. IMO, the drama with Andre and Nessa will be much more exciting and suspenseful because there is so much involved here, whereas with Rhonda, there really wasn't much to work with.

Well i like both of his romances. Soap opera's are made of dysfunctional relationships. It was said from the very beginning, that they were macbeth and lady macbeth and it worked IMO. They just was never given the proper screen time to showcase it.
