The character of Hakeem is a mess so they shoehorn in this petty drama to keep him relevant to the show. They should touch on the fact that his father owns the company and his cd is still mia.

Lusious didn't care about any beef. He just pushed Hakeem's buttons to get him angry enough to rap harder than Jamal wanted him to get higher numbers. It wasn't about the beef it was about Lusious' ability to control Hakeem. That's why Lusious wanted the cameras filming it all.
