I hate what they did to Anika's character

When she's introduced she's an intelligent, powerful woman with an impressive career in the music industry. Maybe a little shady, but so is everyone else on the show. It made her interesting.

So of course they turn her into this stereotypical psycho baby killer who only cares about being pregnant and delivering the Lyon "heir". Vomit!

Dumb, lazy, sexist.

Waste of a great actress and what was a great character.

I agree. I don't like they way she's been treated. At first it wasn't fair, but then they tried to legitimize it by having her harm Rhonda. She seemed at least, pretty sensible in the beginning, then just descended into craziness. Now she's a mom, and a killer. By the way, why didn't she go to jail?? They don't know what the hell to do with her.

To me, almost all of the characters went through major transformations from season 1 to season 2 (most are getting back to what they were in season 1 in season 3). I think it's a way of unintentionally showing internal issues on the show. You can't tell me you can look at how they present Taraji in the show, and that someone's not being mean to her. They mess up her make up, or light her poorly all the time. I've never seen her in person, but I know she looks good. What they're doing to her is wrong. This started in season 2. There have been a few episodes this season where she looked great (the first one and the last one), but they're up to something otherwise, and it pisses me off seeing it.

In real life Andre and Anika got married (or engaged, can't remember which), and I think they were punishing her last season for that decision. The fact that she's largely back to the season 1 character (as is Andre) shows that the grudge must have faded, or the network intervened.

The last episode I did of my last series was a clip with Lee Daniels and Terence Howard. It was a scene where in the context of the show, Terence was trying to change a shot with the video director played by Daniels. The way it played was like an outtake (none of Howard's lines were audible how they should have been). In the clip, Daniels tells Howard "No, no no, no no, no no". If you pay attention closely, he's giving Howard the middle finger when he says it, and he rips his arm out of Howard's grip. These are the little things that point to strife, no matter how minor. It's all super passive aggressive, but it's there and often fun to watch for.

I like it. I would like it even more if her child was Luscious and not Keem.

She was a psycho from season one. After seeing what she did to Elle Dallas just to spite Cookie, everything else she has done seems perfectly natural for her character. No person with a sense of decency gives another person smack out of spite.

I hate what they did to her as well. I'm liking her this season more than last though.
