What do you mean "Guest Directors"?? They don't have just one set director for all their episodes. Also, Mario has directed episodes of Empire since season 1. Where have you been? He directed part 1 of the Season 1 finale, episode 6 of season 2, and the episode last night.

okay, i just thought this was Lee Daniels' show----assumed he was the director

i must've never caught it before---in the beginning, was surprised to see: Directed by Mario Van Peebles

When you want it a little slicker and a little more cinematic you get MVP or John Singleton. They've both been involved with several of the best episodes of Empire.

Wow,I'm a BIG faithful fan of empire every week,i've have not missed not one episode since it's been on air,but however i've never noticed that mario van Peebles directed episodes of empire,i guess apparently wasn't paying attention that far in the opening credits,just was focused on the primary cast and guest stars names,ok,very well.
