French Montana's (he's portraying a rapper in this show too) character was involved in the e-mail leaks? Wasn't he the same character Lucious was trying to persuade to join the streaming service?
If he was involved....why did Romeo's character basically confess that he was the one that leaked the e-mails? If someone can please explain...thanks.
I know some things in this show cannot be explained because this show goes through more storylines and secondary characters than a prostitute does condoms....so I know sometimes for Empire; their is simply no explantion on how, what, who and when.

*****SPOILERS********

I hope you have already watched the show otherwise I will have to spoil it for you in order to explain.

Shocker!!! Andre was the mastermind behind the hack. He hooked up with the French Montana guy and hired him to do the hack. He had to lie to Lucious that he knew nothing about it but he and Andre had everything all planned as to how things would play out.

The Romeo guy was set up to take the fall. Andre probably had that set up too. He denied it but Andre made sure he was well framed with some of the leaked info planted in his computer so it would appear that he was the hacker. Andre's goal was to create the hacking problem, and them solve it to impress his father and get a higher position in Empire. After the Romeo guy was accused of the hack, Andre was praised for solving the problem and made the CEO of Empire Extreme.

At the end, you see Andre meet up with the Montana guy to pay him off with Nessa witnessing the whole thing.

I wondered what was the point of him showing Nessa the transaction. I would want zero witnesses if I were involved in something like that.

Did they kill Romeo's character or just beat him up. It would be pretty sloppy of them to kill him with all that's going on.

I don't think he's dead. I think they just scared him into taking the fall.
