How was that implied???? Her old boyfriend name is Barry and the Politician is Angelo- Two different people! lol And any one who watched any of the episodes with Angelo know that she didn't know Angelo before meeting him at the Radio Station for the first time.
In the last episode she told Angelo, "When I first met you, I thought you were this bougie/ stuck up guy who was just doing his little community service."

We ALL should have stayed with our version of Barry! LOL. Too bad we can't see into the future when we are young and stupid. She should have just slept with Lucious and married Barry.

shareLol I think this just the way people are wired. Every generation goes through this. From baby boomers to the millenials.
In youth, she'll go for bad boys/pretty boys, etc. The good guy is lame.
Few years and few kids later, when real life kicks in, she realizes the unemployed bad boy was a bad choice and tries to find the nice guy again to help take care of her and the bad boy's kids.
