Why would those FBI agents actually think Lucious would have a gun on him when he went to see his half brother? I would think that you would have to go through a metal detector before entering the floors. Lol
Ummmm because obviously to the audience we know that's his half brother. Obviously the FBI agents didn't know that, but that has nothing to with it. The fact that they actually would think Lucious would pull a gun out in a FEDERAL building is quite ridiculous. Goodness!
So again, what was the point in mentioning he was Lucious brother if you know they didn't know that???? It really makes your entire first sentence invalid.
This is Lucious Lyon we're talking about and within the context of the show, dude is a basket case, so its not a shocker to see them on guard with him even in a high security situation such as being in a federal building.
With regard to his chatacter, you can't even watch your back around him; because chances are he's already put a knife in your neck.
Hmm, that's actually a good point about the metal detector. It must've been like what Thirsty said...some dumb fear they had about Black men.
I know one thing. Tariq's gonna be taken off this case quicker than he could blink because of his connection to Lucious. There was already that scene earlier with his boss who warned him that "this better not be personal". Interested in seeing whether Tariq might "go rogue" on his investigation into the Lyons in upcoming episodes or give up entirely.

Nine times out of ten, he will be removed from the case, because of his blood relation to Lucious. Normally, anyone with a close connection to a perp or victim can't work a case. However, this is Empire, so I'm sure the writers will find a way to have Tariq continue to harass Lucious and the family. I'm not mad, though. At least we have a villain that's actually a threat this season.
I'm thinking he'll be taken off the case and proceed to spy on/stalk Lucious and his family fully on his own time--that's probably how they'll develop the storyline. He seems like he's really obsessive about 'getting back' at Lucious. I also don't see the show scrapping such an interesting antagonist at this point! He's indeed been the most threatening presence to Lucious so far.
