Someone explain to me what is that setting?

They showed Tiana performing there, and this week Exhibit is there letting it rain on some hoes.

It seems this is out of place, as if all record companies has this bonus room to offer as entertainment.

Are you talking about club Leviticus? If so, It's not a bonus room it's a club owned by Lucious. Shine was in the VIP section after hours to the chagrin of the staff that had been trying to put him out because his people were still partying and even hijacked the dj booth after closing. That's not normal operations at club Leviticus.

I guess I am. I just thought it was weird how it seemed to flow from the company to their. I thought they were connected to each other.

Thanks. Now, I know it's not inside of the company.

The scene is a rip off of a great closing part in an old urban film by the name of "Above The Rim" starring Tupac and Duane Martin among others.

Its d*mn near verbatim, but the only difference is Marlon Wayans made his way to the VIP section of the club and shot Tupac in the chest, killing him instantly. I thought that this would be the edgy ending for the mid-season finale too, but they chose otherwise with an assassination plan for Lucious. LOL this will probably end with Andre actually being in cahoots with his dad the entire time and actually killing Shawn instead.
