In the scene closer to the end, he sounds like Denzel.

He even tries to do some of Denzels facial expressions after delivering a line or two.
You can definitely see where his motivation derives from. LOL. Nothing terribly wrong with it because Washington is iconic, but with all respect, its best to create your own lane oppose to merging into somebody elses and trying to make it your own.

In all honesty, Im sure the actor who plays andre is not trying to sound like Denzel Washington purposely, its just coming out that way. Perhaps he just has the same swagger that Denzel has. Trai is phenomenal actor and I can see him being big one day Like Denzel Washington if given a chance and I really hope he is given a chance. He is too good of an actor to not become huge. share
Nah. Andre is definitely borrowing bits and pieces from Denzel and as I typed prior, its nothing wrong with being motivated nor getting some of your "swag" from such a legendary actor.
He has that "IT" factor much like Omari Hardwick thats captivating and I seen a bit of it in Selma. Hopefully him and his team play it close with the roles he chooses in the future to show more of his versatility because I see bright lights and some Oscar Nods heading his way. The brotha clearly knows what he is doing.
