The show is on the same schedule as Season 2. Did you not watch last season????? There shouldn't be any surprise about their schedule if you did.

Let me help you for the future. Empire Season 4 will have 18 episodes ( just like S3), and will air 9 episodes Sep- Dec and the final 9 March- May.

The problem is, the airing from Sep-Dec had too many breaks in-between and that was just for the first half. If the producers want to enjoy better ratings, that's not the way to go, but I'm sure they already know that.

I don't understand why the show just couldn't return in January like other shows and run through March. Makes no sense.

This past season had extra breaks because it was an election year (debate was on a Wed) and the World Series went to 7 games instead of 5 like the previous year. That's what cause the show to be off an extra two weeks. (normally it's off only 1 week to accommodate the World Series)

The show can't afford to stay off the air a full year- that's why they're not airing it Jan-May. Also, Empire is FOX biggest show, why would they make it only a midseason show????

HTGAWM have less episodes and even abc keep the show as a Fall series. They had a total of 2 or 3 weeks off during their Sep-Nov run. I don't see anybody asking for other shows to be located to just a midseason show. All of them take breaks between their Fall Run.

The Blacklist is on and off all the time to accommodate Football on NBC. Why do people expect Empire to not follow the same rules as other tv shows? They're not doing anything differently than anyone else. This is what happens when you're a network show. cable shows work on a different schedule.

Are you even asking that question Lori??

That is because Empire is a popular show with lots of fans who love and miss their show. If people don't miss you, then maybe you're not loved that much. People love Empire. We tweet about it, we blog, we discuss, heck we are just at a loss now with no Empire while the other fans are all enjoying their January returns.

Heck we miss our show and we have every right to whine and complain. I watch a lot of the other shows that you mentioned but I don't miss them that much and frankly don't care when they are on a break.

The numerous breaks plus the fact that the show is not remotely interesting enough to wait for is the reason why I decided to no longer watch this show.

This is all in fox, not the producers
