We're currently on s03e11 and with Jimmy re-evaluating his life, tensions have ratcheted up between him and Gretchen. With 2 episodes to go, and a major event coming up in the finale(as indicated by the season 1 and 2), I predict that one of 3 things could happen:
1.) They break up
2.) Jimmy proposes
3.) They find out she's pregnant.
Based on the title of the episode, 'Not just us', I'm inclined towards 3. What do you guys think?

It was a little surprising Jimmy proposed but it was painfully obvious he was going to drive off and leave her after he did. I actually had a bit of sympathy for Gretchen.
shareHe only drove off because she brought up the fact that he now has his own family. Which frightened him into thinking he is just becoming his father. Replacing one family woth another, which wasn't what he wanted. He really didn't think it through though, cause the whole point of the last two episodes was that he no lomger has a family and how perfect that is for him. Yet he took the time out to plan a whole proposal for Gretchen. Makes zero sense.
shareSo 1 & 2, although the beginning of the next season could go either way. Just hope they don't spend the entire next season broken up.
Also, I have to disagree with you; when he was proposing, he really looked like he wanted to marry her, what with the planning. It was only when she mentioned the "we're the family" comment that he panicked.
I took Jimmy looking pleased as him being in love with the very Jimmyesque proposal he had written. When she had accepted he began to panic. He already was looking uncertain and then the family comment sent him over the edge.
