Almost no one will see this
It just doesn't seem like a movie anybody has been clamoring for.
shareThere are a lot of people in this world who are deeply interested in gyms and working out, they might be interested.
Obviously, that doesn't include anyone on this forum.
I'm going to see this.
shareSo am I. The casting is interesting, and the narrative is set against a backdrop that relatively few people have experienced or know, and is based on real people and real events. In that respect, it has some similarities to Ron Howard’s film, Rush. I am an avid Formula 1 fan, but Rush was an excellent movie because of its story and storytelling, and reached an audience well beyond Formula 1 fans (which is saying something, as F1 is the second-most popular sport in the WORLD). I am a lifelong gym rat, which is why I think
the casting for a modest film like Bigger is good, but I think this movie has the potential to reach a wider audience. Remember, the documentary Pumping Iron, didn’t do half-bad at the box office.
Not for nothing, Otter, but I know of a few other gym rats on MC.
At the moment, it seems that "Bigger" is only being played in select theaters in a couple of states. I hope it gets a wider release, maybe at least hitting the arthouse cinema circuit.
shareThis might just be the best reply on MovieChat.
Did not expect that subtle roasting. But boy is it true for me, I need more exercise.
Maybe you're right. And yes, I do need to exercise more!
