"Mad About the Boy" not a strong trailer

Having watched Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, the clips just do not sell the film very well. The jokes were very lame, Bridget tripping over when hiking is not a knee slapper.

For the people who read the book know that Daniel Cleaver is back and Mark Darcy is dead. Hugh Grant is funny but not in any clips of the trailer.

This is launched on Peacock streaming only? Who has heard of that and it is only availability in the USA, so British people cannot watch it.

I agree. The trailer is very underwhelming. The goofy, physical comedy isn't funny anymore with Bridget being in her 50s now.

I've been wanting this movie since I read the book in 2016, and I still held out hope until filming started that they would actually snag Daniel Craig to play Wallaker since the book actually mentions DC by name when describing Wallaker.

I'm wondering about the Peacock streaming too. That would be convenient I guess, but I had already made plans to see it in the theater. Hopefully I'll be able to.

Even the last movie made a lot of money, I think that is why this one is made, but no screening (only on streaming) in US is a bad sign (though it is available in cinemas the rest of the world).

You've confirmed what I just read. It will be streaming in the US and in cinemas internationally. This is a very strange decision, and I wonder about the reason behind it. No doubt it's all about money.

the film was good, watched Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy on Valentines Day with girlfriend. Many funny scenes.

Thanks for coming back here and updating us on the movie. I'll be watching it this weekend and feel more encouraged it will be worth my time.

I mean, it's the 4th movie in a franchise about some British chick's sex life. *shrugs*
