Alex Saxon as Max on Finding Carter and Wyatt on The Fosters

http://www.vulture.com/2015/06/finding-carter-fosters-alex-saxon.html

I was reading this article and the author claims that the characters are essentially the same and while I think it is cool that he is on two shows at once I don't find Wyatt nearly as charming as Max. I actually hated the Wyatt character on The Fosters but I completely love Alex Saxon as Max. I feel like Alex Saxon is kind of wasted on The Fosters because his part is not that big I see itty bitty bits of personality here and there when he is Wyatt but as Max his character has much more depth. Wouldn't it be hilarious if there were some inside references on one show about the other?

RIP Cory Monteith your fans miss you dearly

Thanks for the article. I found it funny, but it makes me feel a bit badly for Saxon. I hope they don't end up typecasting him, and there is more to him than his hair.

I pointed this out at the time...

Max played an innocent but slow-witted young man who thought he had psychic powers in one of the last episodes of The Mentalist.

Yes, that character had many elements in common with Max, except he didn't seem to be a stoner dude.

Jane, the shows highly insightful main character, suspects Max may be the killer. But then the killer kills Max too.

Before he was on The Fosters and Finding Carter, Saxon played a transgendered woman on Ray Donovan and will be reprising that role on an episode of the newest season. Needless to say, it's quite different than the roles of Max and Wyatt.

This article is stupid. Even though I loved Wyatt and Alex is the reason I've started watching Finding Carter, I don't think it's the same character...
Look at the statements that they give here: he's always sweet and nice and he has long hair. Well, there's a lot of nice characters at tv. The reason he looks tha same may be it's the same actor, huh? If anyone who writes arcitles can't see that there's more to the character than the looks/hairdo, then well... I don't think that kind of article is worth reading. And this person should notice, that those episodes havn't been written just before airing. No, they have been written and shooted weeks before, so the thing about "going the same route few days after" is bull. Also, the situation is different: Max and Taylor are deeply in love. Wyatt liked Callie a lot, but she never really cared about him.

And I agree about the depth.
And I love Alex Saxon (I'm not a teenager anymore, but he's probably my first teen crush :D )
