I pretty much always half hoped or suspected that Carter would have a sibling from Lori and that he might be David's. When that kid was talking to her on the bench outside of the courtroom I was like that kid has to be Carter's sibling and he has to be testifying for Lori. How are they explain that *beep* next season?

I did because the writing is so bad. They made the psychic in the carnival episode say to Carter that she has one sister and two brothers. That was their way for foretelling the big surprise at the end of the season.

I am hoping they give Lori some good backstory next season and they reveal that this son is the product of an actual affair between Lori and David and not more egg drama. This is completely fanfiction in my brain but maybe for example she had a child by David and he wouldn't take responsibility maybe he told her to get an abortion because he was married to Elizabeth and she had to give the child up or she lost legal rights to the child because of her financial situation or mental instability. I mean maybe the loss of her son made her vengeful towards David and she set up the whole baby thing so she could have a second chance at being a mother to David's child. This is my fan theory anyway.
