Carter's tattoo disgusts me

After Carter and Max had sex in last night's episode, they panned up from her feet and you saw that nasty tattoo on her leg again. You know, I used to think that Carter was pretty attractive. But, now whenever I look at her all I can think about is that nasty tattoo. What would possess a woman to ruin their perfect skin by tattooing it?

reply

Lori should have been a better parent. She should have drilled into Carter the philosophy of "If you want a picture, buy the frame first. Don't put it on your body."

This works for all manner of tattoos, quotes, pictures, memorials. Buy the frame first.

reply

Yes, because of allllll the things Lori did, letting Carter get tattooed really takes the cake. *eye roll* Kidnapping? Whatever! Letting her skip/never go to school? Meh. Drugging her? Who cares? Tattoos? Now that just crosses the line!!

Besides, Carter is at least 16. A lot of places you don't need parental consent for tattoos or piercings once you're 16. So Lori's questionable parenting doesn't necessarily come into play here.

reply

I do not find tattoos attractive either, but to each their own.

Crash's tattoo makes me sad...not because it's ugly.

reply

Tattoos aren't disgusting if they're tastefully done. I have two but they're not trashy. I don't think it's right to judge someone based on what they have on THEIR body. Sure some tattoos look trashy on people because they're either done unprofessionally or they're in a bad spot. It's all about the artist and placement.

reply

How is it not right to judge someone based on what someone does to their own body? It's not like someone forced them to get a tattoo.

reply

What Shebly is saying, is how is it right for you to judge someone who does something to their body. They aren't forcing you to get a tattoo, so why should you care what they do to their own body!Tattoo's are nasty as you say, yes some can be in bad taste but they arent nasty.

reply

It's not your body to judge. Having a tattoo doesn't make you a bad person, having one doesn't make you any less of a person. If you don't personally want a tattoo on your body, fine, but don't judge someone because they want one. It's their body, not yours.

reply

I don't mind tattoos as long as they're minimal. Sleeves, face and neck tattoos are disgusting as well as tramp stamps. Anyway, I missed the tattoo. What was it of that made it so vile?

reply

Nothing made it any more particularly vile than other tattoos. I find tattoos in general vile. And again, I don't see how it's unfair to judge someone based on what they do to their own body. If I tattoo a dolphin to my face and then go into a job interview is the employer wrong for judging me for the dolphin tattooed to my face? Hell no. Actually, I would hope that a self respecting employer would give preference to a candidate who doesn't have a dolphin tattooed on their face.

reply

But there's a difference between getting it on your face where it is ALWAYS noticeable and getting something on your foot/leg/back/arm where it can (and with many people always is) be covered up/unseen.

Your employer isn't going to judge you for having a tattoo, just for having it on your face. If you had the dolphin on a body part that was covered up, they wouldn't know any different. They wouldn't judge.

What your saying tells me that you could fall in love with someone, not knowing that they have a tattoo somewhere (assuming sex doesn't happen for a while) and then find out they have that tattoo and end it. Because of that little thing that you didn't even know existed 10 minutes ago.

reply

Sounds like someone has an underlying thing about tattoos to be so adamant about how "vile" and their hatred towards them. A little too passionate over something so trivial and commonplace as body modifications.

Loathing is my life blood, rage my royal jelly, fear is my bacon bits

reply

You do realize that people can place them discreetly, right? If the tattoo is not visible during work hours, then the employer is not going to care. Additionally, it depends on the environment of the company. Some are more liberal than others. I've worked in broadcasting, print news, and currently local government, and none of those places cared if an employee had tattoos, even visible ones.

reply

Judging someone based on a little piece of art they placed on their own body makes the one judging seem classless and nasty, not the person with the tat.

(For the record, I don't have any tattoos)

reply

Okay, what if someone has a swastika tattooed on their back? A job interviewer wouldn't know it's there, so is judging someone based on a little piece of art classless? And yes, for the record I did one time take a woman's clothes off and wouldn't have sex with her due to her tattoos.

reply

Then your name fits.

reply

She has a tattoo?

reply

Yes, on her leg. It's only been visible in two scenes so far.

reply

I guess I missed it

reply

Your name suits you perfectly.

Holy water cannot help you now, see I've come to burn your kingdom down

reply

Perhaps because they're not uptight and boring?
