Who's Grant's Biological Mother?

If Elizabeth couldn't have kids where did Grant come from?? That hasn't been addressed yet either. Is he the product of another egg donor or did Elizabeth's fertility problems get resolved...guess that could happen, but it's interesting that the characters haven't at least asked the question.

They did address this on the show, it was sort of a "miracle" that she was able to have Grant.

I think this is not actually a miracle, but rather a long recognized phenomenon... Women who seem barren, so far as medical science can tell, do subsequently concieve, once a very young child is adopted into the household. IIRC the speculation is that caring for a very young child triggers a change in mom's hormonal cycles.

This happened with the mom of my best friend, when I was a kid. His parents adopted a daughter, when he was nine, so he wouldn't be an only child, and his mom conceived a biological sister for him a year or so later.
