Lori and Jared (spoilers)

The scene where Lori holds Jared at gunpoint makes no sense at all. Jared is forced to make a confession and the cops take him in, just like that? Any decent lawyer would make a case that Jared was forced to say anything at that point to save his hide.

Well next week it's shown that he is out and about again so maybe you're right.

I thought the same. Then when they showed the other cops in the car listening, I was disappointed they allowed it to go down like that. Because while I expect Elizabeth to be stupid, I expected more from that other cop especially after he woke Elizabeth up to the fact that Carter will always be troubled -- drinking, drugs, and inappropriate relationships.

Yet like apc0 stated, he's out next week. So either that was used for his release or they let him out to reel in the bigger fish, the one he's indebted to.

But honestly, Jared didn't really appear to be afraid of Lori either -- even with the gun in her hand. He just wanted them out his face and he knew they couldn't keep him with a coerced confession. He smirked at them as the cops took him away.

What I don't get is why neither Elizabeth nor Lori... Nevermind, Ohio age of consent is 16.
