I am convinced Vinyl is using the Nasty Bits to map the trajectory of Richard Hell and the whole Sire records gang. What do you guys think? I can't think of any band from the era. Television? No, that was 2-3 years later and they were technical geniuses. The ramones? Obv. not. The damned? No. Dolls? Pistols? Nasty Bits will be the catalyst for the CBGB scene after Max's wanes.

I think that was supposed to be Debbie Harry as a topless server at Max's, so yeah, the timing is just right. Though that first NB's preview could have been at CBGB's.
