In my opinion was pretty great. Even though certain scenes didn't have the best dialogue I absolutely loved the random scenes with a lookalike performing groundbreaking songs of the time. Because it was different.
I hated when boardwalk empire finished but was happy the same team more or less was at least starting up something else but one season in and it's cancelled.
I was gutted when they cancelled Carnivale (which was awesome and different too) for the same reason but you can only ever hope for a reboot down the line.
