Really think Marty should have just taken that pilot episode and made it a movie. Tweak it a bit, take out some of the establishing stuff for later episodes, replace it with some more focus on Richie and his wife, have him die in the venue collapse
you got a pretty great movie. And now the show is cancelled.

I agree. But I think the pilot could be consider as a Scorsese film with an open ending.

I agree, Bobby Cannavale is great as well as the cast but the writing was not consistent and too drawn out.
